If you ask any New Yorker, they’ll have no problem letting you know how good NY style pizza is and where to get it. In a perfect world you’d be able to find a good New York slice in any state, but if you get a chance to go to New York, make sure you don’t leave without trying at least 1 slice.

Neopolitan Style Pizza Dough
This originates from Naples, Italy and looks a bit different than the pizza emoji. This is more of an artisan pizza with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella with a higher liquid content than the NY Slice generally has. Once you perfect the dough, you can get adventurous with the flavors and toppings…but it’s always nice to go back to the basics with the Margherita’s fresh tomato and mozzarella.

Detroit Style Pizza Dough
This pizza challenges the triangle pizza slice with a Sicilian-style square slice with a deep and crispy crust full of flavor and marinara sauce served on top. The square shape started when these thick crust pizzas were cooked in square pans meant for holding small parts in factories.
