If you’re looking for an app that gives you a small taste of what it might be like to run a pizzeria, you should check this app out.
The only thing I don’t like about this app is that you can’t eat the pizzas you make! But it’s still an awesome app. Its available for FREE via the Amazon App store and Apple App Store. It’s a FREE app, but has the option for in-app purchases.
The basic game play is that you have a certain amount of time for each game day to serve and please as many customers as you can. Customers will ask for a range of pizzas and you have to do your best to give them what they asked for. Sometimes they’ll ask for a standard pizza, but sometimes you’ll get weird requests. But if you can deliver what they requested, and without taking too long, you will be rewarded with more business and tips. (Kinda like real life) 😉
At the start of each new game day, you’ll see news reports of trends and other stories that can affect what you will see during that day. You can use your cash to purchase new ingredients or to make updates to your pizzeria.
The business side is fun and challenging, but the best part for us is the actual pizza making. You get to grab the dough, add the sauce, cheese, and toppings. You can do whatever order you want and with as much consistency as you want. You can make a horrible pizza or make a perfect pizza. It’s as accurate to real life as a game can get in that regard. They also have you cook the pizzas and you even have to make the final cuts (based on customer requests). If you do a bad job of cutting, then customers don’t tip you).
Once you’re done boxing the pizza you hand it to the customer to get the verdict on whether they are happy or sad. Once you get the hang of it, it’s super fun. I’ve enjoyed it as an adult, but my 3 year old has enjoyed the game as well. Sometimes she makes great pizzas and loves to see happy customers, but occasionally she loves making a bad pizza just to see the reactions of the customers. She’s pretty much bankrupted my pizzeria with these gags, so I’m going to need to create a new account and start over.
